Quest Introduces 8 New Brands, 24 New Bottle Designs as Part of "The Unstandard" Collection
31 July, 2018

Standard molds. Designs that are anything but standard.

Las Vegas, NV – Quest, the Premium Package Realization™ company announced at the 75th Annual Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) conference, eight new wine and spirit brands expressed in 24 newly designed bottles. Quest shows how powerful brand statements can be realized by using standard glass bottles coupled with great design and the latest techniques in bottle decoration.

Quest CEO, Ingrid Cornehl, said, “A year ago, we launched the first Unstandard Collection™ with the purpose of inspiring customers by demonstrating how powerful brand statements can be made by using the very latest decorating technologies and techniques. These brands, while not real, were able to inspire a conversation about how we can help brands stand out. Showing complete brand-statements in finished form have proven to be a quick-read for customers. Today, the new next generation Unstandard Collection brings twice as many examples to showcase new techniques.”

The Unstandard II Collection features standard off-the-shelf bottles that are transformed into powerful brands that are anything but “standard”. The Collection features gorgeous glass from Estal, Pavisa, Verallia, Allied, Bormioli Luigi, and Piramal.

Ms. Cornehl also stated, “Inspiration behind The Unstandard II Collection came from popular movie genres. Iconic imagery from movies instantly conger up an emotional connection, just the same way brands connect to their customers. Most people viewing the new collection can instantly identify which movies inspired which brand. Our inspiration is drawn from Hitchcock thrillers, Classic movies, Westerns, Science Fiction, Gangster, Musicals, Cult Classics, and even a famous Silent Movie. We will share these new brand-stories literally standing on the redcarpet here at WSWA.” The eight new brands include: LUMIERE™, a new gin brand that goes to market as an innovative “martini kit”; SILVER SPUR™, a collection of American Whiskeys; UNMASKED™, three different red wines from California; DOC™, very long-aged rums; A CENTARI™, uniquely crafted mescals; DIALOGUE™, three new flavored gins; CULTE™, fruit inspired brandy and cognac; CHOREO™ champagne from France.

Dennis Sones, Quest VP Sales & Marketing commented, “Thousands of brand managers, designers, supply chain managers and executives have viewed the original Collection. It exceeded our expectations. That’s why we invested resources to create the next-generation, “The Unstandard II Collection”. It’s bigger and more innovative than the first and we are so very proud of these 24 unique designs.”

“We were inspired to develop these 24 new packages to showcase the transformative power of great design, technique and the latest technology. Many of these examples look like they may be too expensive or priced out of your budget but our intention is to create a sense of inspiration and wonder about how brand statements can be  expressed. Many customers pick and choose different elements that best fit their own brand idea and cost considerations”, said Quest Chief Technology Officer, Ryan Reed.

Quest Introduces 12 New Brands as Part of “The Unstandard”™ Collection
19 April, 2017

ORANDO, Fla., April 19, 2017 – Quest, the leading bi-coastal premium bottle packaging company, announced at the 74th Annual Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) conference twelve new wine and spirit brands that illustrate powerful brand statements using off-the-shelf standard glass bottle shapes. The collection encompasses wine, sparkling wine, sake, gin, vodka, tequila, mescal, whiskey, rum, and schnapps.

Quest CEO, Ingrid Cornehl, said, “Our intention for developing these twelve new brands is to inspire customers to make bold, distinctive statements using the latest technologies and materials that only a company like Quest can bring together. Essentially, this is a new way to think how a premium package can be sourced.  We took standard glass bottles and created contrasting brand stories using the broadest portfolio of decorating techniques and components developed at Quest and from around the world. This proves that standard molds can be anything but standard. Thus, “The Unstandard” became the name of our collection.”

“The Unstandard” collection includes these twelve innovative brands:

Pocket Watch Whiskey™ Honey & Clove Whiskey; Chichen Itza™ Tequila Joven; Composition No. 7™ Gin; Col. Tinker’s™ Re-Imagined Rum; Olinde™ Prosecco; Guimard’s Gate™ Chardonnay; Picabia™ White Whiskey; Gilde™ Pear Schnapps; Del Barro™ Mezcal; La Taquine™ Vodka; Roycroft Estates™ Pinot Noir; Katakana Sake™ Ginjo.

Dennis Sones, Quest VP Sales & Marketing commented, “Historically, brand owners look for custom glass shapes to help differentiate their brands in the marketplace; that’s great if you have the time and funds to invest in custom molds. With the new advancements in bottle decorating here at Quest, you can take a standard bottle and transform it into a unique and heroic brand.”

“We were inspired to develop these twelve new brands to showcase the very latest technologies and techniques, and demonstrate how combining them with inventive designs, can create a totally new identity for brands,” said Quest Chief Technology Officer, Ryan Reed.

Quest Wins 2016 Most Innovative Wine Packaging Award
01 September, 2016

NAPA VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Quest, the leading bi-coastal bottle packaging company, was awarded the 2016 most innovative wine packaging award among a broad spectrum of diverse entries at this year's WINES & VINES Packaging Conference held here. The winning design was for "Mask Spray", a new technique created by Quest for Reed Vineyards, Lodi, California.

Judging criteria was based on technical innovation, functionality and marketability. Quest's entry was chosen because, "This is a breakthrough that allows the entire bottle to become a decorative canvas. This process enables more innovative design choices for wine makers, brand owners and designers to consider. There is virtually an endless combination of designs and colors to transform an ordinary bottle into a fully custom-made work of art."

Quest CEO, Ingrid Cornehl, commented, "This is a great day for our company. To get this particular award for packaging innovation is particularly satisfying since we have a 16-plus year history of pushing the boundaries of how brands can be presented at the retail shelf, on the bar and at the moment of truth when you pour the contents and connect these impressions with the personal experience. We've built our company on helping brands stand out and this is another great example of that."

Reed Vineyards winemaker is Ryan Reed who also happens to be the Chief Technology Officer of Quest. He is undoubtedly the most familiar with the latest, cutting edge decorating techniques given his shared interests as master craftsman in bottle décor as well as being a winemaker. Mr. Reed commented, "With this new Mask Spray technique, every part of the bottle can be decorated even if the design requires very fine detail." The winning bottle looks like the top was dipped in wax with the fine detail of a lion's head drawing showing through the wax.

"We are constantly creating new techniques to keep our customer's bottles looking fresh and making a bold statement. That's why we have adopted a new slogan, "Standing out starts here", said Ms. Cornehl. "With our solution driven and creative based approach, this is what we do everyday."
