Highlights from the 2024 Aspen Food & Wine Classic

Celebrating its 41st year, the Aspen Food & Wine Classic is a leading culinary, wine, and spirits event that consists of three incredible days of cooking demonstrations, wine & spirits tastings, and panel discussions led by world-class chefs and beverage experts.

This year, 4,000 consumers, media, and sommeliers attended the festival, and Sonoma County Winegrowers was able to highlight Sonoma County wines by being the exclusive partner at the invite-only Welcome Party to kick off the weekend’s festivities, hosting a VIP Happy Hour with American Express for the trade track at the Classic, and pouring at all three days at the Grand Tasting.

Thursday, June 13th 
Welcome Party


This year, Sonoma County Winegrowers was the exclusive wine sponsor of the Welcome Party, kicking off the three days of amazing wine and food. This invite-only party welcomed 300+ VIP attendees to the Classic, exclusively featuring Sonoma County wines, showcasing the region’s diverse grape varieties. Guests were able to enjoy the taste of Sonoma County with a selection of wines highlighting big and small producers and our various AVAs.

Friday, June 14th 
Amex VIP Happy Hour


Every year, American Express manages the 400+ trade program attendees for the Aspen Classic. This year, Sonoma County Winegrowers partnered with American Express to host a VIP wine happy hour. Sharing stories and a selection of Sonoma County wines, guests were able to meet and mingle with winery owners, winemakers, and grape growers from the region while enjoying an unforgettable afternoon of Sonoma County wine, small bites, and good conversation!

Aspen Food & Wine Grand Tasting


The Grand Tasting at the Aspen Food & Wine Classic spans over three days, drawing a crowd of 4,000 wine enthusiasts, including consumer, trade, and media. Sonoma County Winegrowers featured wines from local winegrowers and vintners showcasing the world-class wines of Sonoma County.

Attendees were able to taste a wide variety of Sonoma County wines and learn about our diverse growing region, sustainability initiatives, soil types, and unique community that is Sonoma County.

Sonoma County Winegrowers featured a different selection of wines from local winegrowers and vintners each of the three days of the Grand Tasting, allowing us to showcase over 20 wines that demonstrate the breadth of Sonoma County’s world-class wines.

The Sonoma County Winegrape Commission, dba Sonoma County Winegrowers, was established in 2006 as a non-profit marketing and educational organization dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Sonoma County as one of the world's premier grape growing regions. With more than 1,800 growers, SCWC's goal is to increase awareness and recognition of the quality and diversity of Sonoma County's grapes and wines through dynamic marketing and educational programs targeted to wine consumers around the world.
