I am sure you have started on your 2024 missives to your customers (maybe). To make it easier on yourself, when you have ideas or hear of something that you think would work for your winery write it down in your idea notebook. If this is not something you usually do, it is a good time to start. Keep track of 2023 so you can write a focused and accurate plan for 2024. A plan that will help you increase sales and become more successful.
Now is the time to create or review your ideas. Start by writing down every idea you think would help your business or the things you would like to accomplish. Keep the information in a notebook that is easily accessible. Make two separate lists: Business Goals and Personal Goals.
Divide the list into the hours you think each goal will take. Some may only take an hour, while others may take days or weeks. Give some thought to how long it will take to organize, and complete a short plan for each goal.
Start with an outline of each goal (no more than four or five sentences or bullets) and add a short list of the most important elements for each goal. Things change so don’t go into too much detail right now.
Read over your completed list to ensure that you have not added more than you need, or that you have not missed something important. Then, give yourself a break, and put the list away for a day or two. When you get back to the list, it will be easier to make any needed additions, changes, or deletions.
Consult your list regularly to stay on track and change as needed.

Other Seminars & Training
Staff and management training should be as integral a part of the operation of a successful winery as using the very best grapes and producing top notch wines. Yet, despite its iymportance, it is the component of business operations that is most easily and most often ignored. In fact, it is frequently not recognized as a component of successful business operations at all.
E (as she is known) presents seminars and workshops on a variety of marketing and sales subjects to wineries and winery associations throughout North America. She is a featured speaker at Wineries Unlimited and presents regularly at state and province conferences working across the US and Canada.
In Short was started as a direct marketing company in 1994 and added workshops and seminars to the mix in 1997. Elizabeth's dynamic and humorous speaking style has made her a popular and busy speaker both in and out of the wine industry.
"In Short Direct Marketing is an essential business tool." - Maureen Hendrikson, Patit Creek Cellars
