Fogg Filler was founded in 1956 and is a third generation family owned business. Fogg is a world leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling , rinsing, capping and enclosure systems. Fogg serves a growing number of dairy, water, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, and consumer product goods companies around the world. Fogg was founded in 1956 by Clyde Fogg who had been assembling, selling, and servicing Cherry Burrell equipment for 22 years prior to starting Fogg. As new containers were developed, Clyde rebuilt machines while adding his own ideas and improvements. When plastic was introduced, Fogg was among the first to modify machines to handle plastic jugs - new valves, cappers and bottle handling equipment also had to be developed and incorporated into existing dairy fillers. In 1974 Clyde’s sons Mike and Jon acquired the business. Over the years, they transitioned Fogg from rebuilding old machines into designing and building some of the most innovative filling systems in today's market. In the late 70’s Fogg invested in a manufacturing facility in Australia to service the Far East. After the fall of the Asian stock market in the mid 90’s operations were discontinued. In 2000 Mike Fogg became the sole owner of Fogg. Mike’s engineering and management expertise faded Fogg out of the dairy industry and lead Fogg into a leader of the Extended Shelf Life (ESL) industry focusing efforts on clean, efficient, filling for hot and cold applications. In 2003 Mike Fogg's son, Ben Fogg, came on board. Ben brings a strong background in chemical and mechanical engineering opening new doors to new cutting edge ESL technology. In 2008 Ben Fogg became the sole owner, continuing the family business for the third generation. Ben plans on continuing Fogg’s strong tradition of quality, innovation, and world class service. Fogg’s New Filler Model - F6.3 Series Holland, Michigan... Fogg Filler, a market leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, is continually focused on improving technology that better serves our customers and the environment. Fogg has designed and manufactured a new filler model, the F6.3 Series. This new series was designed to perform with the accuracy and advantages of a F9 at the size and price of a much smaller model. Fogg’s F6.2 filler series is our most popular size filler we make because of its footprint and production capability. But, Fogg is always focused on customer driven advancements and therefore the F6.3 Series was born. This series is not designed to replace the F6.2 Series. It was designed out of customer requests that have seen or experienced some of the advantageous features of or larger models such as the F8 and F9 Series. The main theme for the F6.3 is a precise, clean, and easy to maintain filler. We have updated the bearings to be ceramic for greater longevity and placed an Accu-lift® system on it in place of the carousel. The Accu-lift® system provides superior valve and bottle alignment. The Accu-lift® maintenance and service points have been moved to the outside of the machine making maintenance a breeze. The bowl has been updated to a forged ring design for greater thermal stability holding precise tolerances on the most demanding hot and cold fill applications. We will be selling the F6.2 and F6.3 Series together for a long time. Your sales representative will be able to assist you in picking the model that best suits your needs. Please note that the F6.3’s are not available with a glass package. Fogg’s proven technology helps lower operating costs and provides the highest level of reliability for your production lines. Please consult a Fogg sales representative to discuss your particular application or for our full line of filling machines and accessories please contact our sales team at 616-786-FOGG or www.foggfiller.com.

How to Save Money and Rinse Media When Sanitizing Your Bottles
27 July, 2012
Holland, Michigan... Fogg Filler, a market leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, is continually focused on improving technology that better serves our customers and the environment. Fogg’s new Sanitizer Skids will combine chemical blending, sterile water generation, and rinse recovery in one compact skid for multiple rinsers.
The second part of the skid is the Sterile Water Generation process which takes ambient, plant water and filters it through a series of filters. The necessary pumps and valves are provided to meet your application needs. You also have the option for direct steam injection where the temperature is controlled +/- 5°F to heat the water to your specified temperature. The chemical solution then travels to your rinser/rinsers to sanitize the bottles. Then the chemical solution is returned back to the Rinse Recovery section of the Skid to be filtered and reused. This dramatically reduces the environmental impact at the same time it lowers the manufacturers operating costs. A typical user shows results like this: If your filler is running at 120 bpm and your rinser is running at 10-14 gpm you will use approximately 14,400-20,160 gallons of sanitizing fluid every 24 hours. Without a Chemical Supply & Recovery System, it all goes down the drain. With a Fogg Rinse Recovery System, you will only use 300 gallons of sanitizing fluid in 24 hours, nearly eliminating the waste of water and chemical! That saves nearly 20,000 gallons of water per day and would fill up an Olympic sized swimming pool every four days of operation! With these savings the system pays for itself in 60-90 days! You can integrate this Sanitizer Skid to any line or have the system built directly into your next project. Each system will be customized to meet your sanitation needs. Fogg’s proven technology helps lower operating costs and provides the highest level of reliability for your production lines. Chemical Microb-Blaster® for Bottles
02 April, 2012
Fogg Filler, a market leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, is taking another step to extend your shelf life by offering a Chemical Microb-Blaster® for Bottles to create longer contact times in the interior of the bottle and sanitize the exterior of the bottle With Fogg’s traditional rinsing methods you can choose to add a second turret to your rinser. The first turret will rinse with chemical and the second with water for a very effective sanitizing process. But, at high production speeds, sometimes there is not enough space or budget to add contact time to effectively reach desired log reductions. That is why the Chemical Microb-Blaster® has been created. The Chemical Microb-Blaster® for Bottles is positioned immediately before the rinser to spray the exterior and interior of the bottles. This process will also eliminate the worry of contaminates carrying through from the conveyor belt. As the chemical drains off the exterior of the bottles, it drains through the conveyor belt for sanitation and caught in a trough below that is funneled back to the Rinse Recovery System. All chemicals are reclaimed, filtered, and re-heated to the proper temperatures to ensure the proper concentrations on every bottle. Fogg’s proven Extended Shelf Life (ESL) technologies help lower operating costs and provides the highest level of reliability for your production lines. You can order it on your new Fogg Filler or upgrade your current line to ensure greater sanitation. 05 March, 2012
Fogg Filler, a market leader in the design and manufacture of rotary filling systems for the liquids industry, is taking another step to extend your shelf life by offering a Sanibar® system to periodically wash the non-product contact filling environment. As the benefits of this system have been realized, it has been increased to sanitize all aspects of the filling environment. Now, the Sanibar® system also focuses on the change parts and capper, not just the filling bowl and valves. This system allows for periodic sanitizing, between CIP cycles, of the exterior of the filling bowl and lid, valves, lifters, and change parts. These sanitizing cycles are controlled from the filler’s touch screen. Fogg’s proven Extended Shelf Life (ESL) technologies help lower operating costs and provides the highest level of reliability for your production lines. You can order it on your new Fogg Filler or upgrade your current Sanibar® system to ensure greater sanitation.
