Background

WMS was founded by Terence Flynn and Patrick Oates in partnership with DPS, Inc. in January of 2006 to address the glaring needs of the small wine producer. At the time there were no affordable software applications available that could assist in tracking every critical activity that occurs in the winery business cycle. Patrick Oates, a former IT executive, recognized the opportunity to leverage the latest technology and software trends to offer small wineries the same set of solutions that were only affordable to large wine companies at that time. By partnering with leading software companies, such as Intuit and DPS, in addition to working closely with wine industry leaders in production, sales and finance, WMS was created and a new benchmark was set for management technology in the wine industry.

The ideal candidate will possess endless tenacity and the desire to succeed, combined with the ability to convert thousands of winery sales leads to view a web demo of our top selling software. A professional phone manner, emotional maturity, and the ability to speak and write articulately is required.

You will cold-call to winery GM’s, winemakers, owners, and heads of marketing, with the goal of setting up a web demo of our software products. The telesales rep does not give the demos and is not involved in the sales process beyond the point of arranging the demo.

To support our continued North American growth we are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Account Manager to meet a planned doubling of our revenues in CY 2013. This new position reports to the company’s Director of Sales.

The Account Manager will own the customer engagement process, from initial development, to product demos, to proposal submission, through closing. Sales prospects will be generated by the Account Manager via personal cold calling, trade shows, and general business development efforts. In some cases new opportunities are passed on to the Account Manager by our inside telesales team which focuses on scheduling product demos.
