Our Product Wine Management Systems (WMS) is a Management Software Solution delivered as a service and created specifically for the small wine producer to help them better manage and track their winery operations. Designed by leading software engineers in the U.S., WMS tracks all winery activities from Vineyard Operations through Production & Bottling, Inventory & Allocation Management, Point of Sale & Wine Club Operations and ultimately synchronizing all financial information to QuickBooks, a WMS Partner since 2007 and the preferred accounting software for wineries under 30,000 cases. A technology leader, WMS is the first company to offer Software as a Service (SaaS) to the wine industry. Software as a Service (SaaS) By providing the WMS solution as a service, our customers no longer pay for "owning" software, instead they pay to use it. Rather than making an expensive investment in new software, our customers can lease per user, at a price that is reasonable. Other benefits to leasing a hosted application are plentiful, for example, free upgrades are introduced quickly and painlessly, avoiding additional software purchase requirements and compatibility issues. Approved users can access winery information anywhere in the world that they can access the internet. The ability to provide all of our customers' immediate access to the latest technology is unparalleled in Wine Industry today. Vineyard & Grower Management Our Vineyard and Grower Module allows the vintner to track all activities in the vineyard ranging from bud break through harvest. By providing easy to access historical data, it ensures the opportunity for producers to build on past experiences and successes.
The WMS Production module was developed after evaluating the best available software and keeping the most relevant pieces. In addition, over 500 hours were spent on interviews with winemakers and cellar masters with a variety of backgrounds to ensure that the finished product met the needs of even the most demanding producer.
Effective inventory, allocation and channel management have become more critical than ever for the small producer working to protect profit margins in this hyper-competitive market. The WMS Inventory & Allocation module allows for easy tracking at the channel, market and sku level and provides a tremendous advantage in a business where the ability to forecast is as significant as it is in the Wine Industry.
The WMS Point of Sale and Wine Club Management system were developed on the newest state of the art Web Based platform. It interfaces directly to the QuickBooks POS System. Supports multiple Wine Club tracking, multiple locations, customer level detail and compliance systems interface.
Finance WMS, an Intuit Partner since 2007, was designed to seamlessly interface with QuickBooks, the preferred Accounting Software for wineries producing fewer than 30,000 cases annually. Our Mission The Mission of Wine Management Systems is to supply solutions to the challenges faced by the small wine producer by leveraging the most advanced management technology coupled with outstanding customer service and a relentless pursuit to over-deliver on our customer's expectations. Wine Management Systems ability to customize solutions based on the needs of your winery puts our product above all the competition. Whether it's tasting room or barrel management, our on-line hosted solution can help you sort through the challenges faced by small wine operations. With no software to purchase or upgrade, you can spend your resources on what you do best, wine making. TTB Compliance reports are a cornerstone of the software, making that portion of the wine making duties fast and accurate, and giving the winery more time to run the business, not run reports. Based south of Sonoma at the gateway to the California wine country, our affiliates and partners in Napa and Sonoma Valleys give us a look into the wine industry that few are allowed and give us the real time knowledge necessary to help you stay a step ahead of the competition. Contact us today about your demo of the next generation of Background WMS was founded by Terence Flynn and Patrick Oates in partnership with DPS, Inc. in January of 2006 to address the glaring needs of the small wine producer. At the time there were no affordable software applications available that could assist in tracking every critical activity that occurs in the winery business cycle. Patrick Oates, a former IT executive, recognized the opportunity to leverage the latest technology and software trends to offer small wineries the same set of solutions that were only affordable to large wine companies at that time. By partnering with leading software companies, such as Intuit and DPS, in addition to working closely with wine industry leaders in production, sales and finance, WMS was created and a new benchmark was set for management technology in the wine industry. WMS Offers Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP Solution ‘On Demand,’ Enabling Small Wineries to Leverage and Afford a Wine Management Business Solution from Grape to Bottle, Including Best-in-Class Financial Planning Capabilities. San Rafael,CA., December 13, 2010 - Wine Management Systems (WMS), the leading provider of end-to-end Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions that track all winery activities from Vineyard operations through Production & Bottling, Inventory management, and TTB and FDA Compliance for wineries and custom crush facilities, announced today that it is delivering the first ERP solution in a cloud computing environment to the wine industry. Wine Management Systems (WMS) has created a best-in-class ERP solution, powered by Microsoft Dynamics AX to offer a comprehensive wine management solution from grape to bottle. By providing Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP ‘On Demand’ through a monthly subscription model, WMS is making it possible for small to mid-sized wineries and custom crush facilities to afford and leverage the same robust global business management and financial reporting capabilities that have long been in use by larger wineries. The web-based solution delivers all of the robust functionality offered in Dynamics AX at lower total cost of ownership, based on significantly reduced IT, license, and upgrade costs associated with traditional ERP software investments. Applications for the solution include: Financial Planning, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting, Invoices, Order Entry, Bills of Lading, Inventory Management, Inventory Allocation, and Customer Service Portal capabilities. Says WMS Chief Executive Officer Pat Oates, “Wine Management Systems is leveling the playing field for the small to mid-sized winery and custom crush facility. These companies cannot only manage their production processes with WMS from vineyard to store, they can also afford and access the best-in-class, web-based capabilities offered through Microsoft Dynamics AX for improved, end-to-end business management.” According to Oates, “For a modest monthly fee, Wine Management Systems is providing global business and financial management capabilities that have historically been out of reach from a pricing perspective for the small to mid-sized winery. Whereas most wineries today are using spreadsheets or lower level financial planning tools, Microsoft Dynamics AX integrates to existing systems, streamlining the financial process, and enabling greater visibility and compliance. Clearly, this change is revolutionizing business for many wineries that would not otherwise have access. Larger wineries are also benefitting from the lower total cost of ownership.” WMS partnered with ERP and supply chain consulting services provider, enVista, to evaluate and implement Microsoft Dynamics AX as a hosted solution for WMS clients. enVista was chosen to be one of Microsoft’s few SaaS partners based on its depth of supply chain consulting experience, and experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX. ### About Wine Management Systems For more information, contact: info@winemanagementsystems.com or 800.656.9521 About enVista For more information about enVista, please call 877-684-7700 or contactinforequest@envistacorp.com www.envistacorp.com Wine Management Systems Selects PivotLink to Harvest Benefits of Cloud Analytics

Boutique Winemakers Optimize Performance From Source to Distribution Using SaaS Business IntelligenceSAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) - PivotLink, the leading provider of business intelligence (BI) solutions delivered via Software as a Service (SaaS), today announced that Wine Management Systems (WMS), a leader in SaaS solutions for managing and tracking winery operations, has standardized on PivotLink's market-leading business analytics platform within its Cloud-based winery management system. The combined solution allows small and mid-size wineries to uncover actionable insights from data generated throughout the winery business cycle. Business users at WMS access PivotLink's web-based reports and collaborative dashboards to help clients optimize vineyard and grower management, production and bottling, inventory and allocations, sales and member services. PivotLink's insights will help clients scale their businesses and quickly adapt to the unique competitive, economic and regulatory challenges in winery operations. The solution allows smaller wine producers with limited IT resources to evolve from manual and spreadsheet reporting systems to an on-demand analytics environment that fosters accurate decisions and repeatable business processes. PivotLink and WMS deliver these benefits in a fraction of the time and cost of traditional on-premise business intelligence systems, offering a solution that's easy to use and quick to deploy across the supply chain. "It's exciting to help small, entrepreneurial wine producers level the playing field using BI capabilities that were once only affordable to large wine companies," said Patrick Oates, president, Wine Management Systems. "This solution allows them to focus on their craft instead of worrying about technology, something that distinguishes the most successful producers in this segment. Our clients, such as Carter Cellars in Calistoga, Lancaster Estate in Alexander Valley, Vint Hill in Virginia, Myriad Cellars in St. Helena and many others, are very enthusiastic about the benefits they will gain with SaaS BI." "Research from leading analyst firms such as Aberdeen Group underscores the benefits of SaaS for smaller organizations that are challenged by the cost and complexity of legacy BI approaches," said Rosanne Saccone, chief marketing officer, PivotLink. "It's exciting to help up-and-coming producers in the wine industry compete on a global scale by combining PivotLink's affordability, ease-of-use and rapid value with Wine Management Systems' deep expertise in best practices for winery management." Benefits:
WMS plans to extend PivotLink's analytical capabilities to other areas, including core metrics and KPIs around sustainability initiatives, wine club and retail operations. WMS says the flexibility of PivotLink's customizable dashboards was one of many strengths that sets it apart from other SaaS BI offerings. The dashboards provide a laser-focus on information that's most valuable to each winery, whether they offer custom crush services and want dashboards to analyze barrel use by client, or to increase production of white wines using stainless tanks. PivotLink's knowledgeable services staff is another key advantage, according to WMS. Oates added, "They helped us segment our winery client data in a more meaningful way."
